Call for Artists for Escape From Numenor
The adventure module Escape From Numenor is nearing completion. It needs some original artwork though.
So if you have even the slightest inclination to create artwork based
on Numenor (especially as detailed in Akallabeth), please submit any
and all artwork you have. Don't be shy. Most submissions WILL be
considered, as in the "good old days" of the early role playing modules
that took quite a variety of artwork styles and quality.
You may submit any visual style artwork, whether it's photos of
people dressed up in appropriate attire, simple abstract pencil
sketches, black and white line drawings, color, pastels, water colors,
computer generated, if it's related to Numenor the Land or it's People,
odds are it will be used.
Please send it in the highest resolution possible, in JPG or PNG format.
If you have a link for it to be downloaded from, that's fine too.
Send submissions by email to:
group131 at merp dot com
Please hurry, this module will be released as soon as possible.
We are still taking submissions for the front cover.
The front cover must be full cover and depict the following scene:
"An angled view of Numenor, viewed from the East at some altitude, facing West towards the island.
The large range "clouds" of the "Eagles of Manwe" in a range in the
sky stretching out of site from north to south, arrayed with
lightning beneath their wings approaches from the West, beginning to
block out the westering sun, with a red glow cast upon them.
Smoke tendrils issue from the top of the mountain Meneltarma rising high in the center of the isle.
In the distance just past the Meneltarma you see a bay on the west
(opposite side) of Numenor (Nen Eldanna, see the map) with many
thousands of small ships in it sailing into the West in a line fading
out of site.
In the east of the isle nearer in the foreground, you see the tendrils
of smoke issuing from the black temple, with a figure standing on it's
peak, shaking his fist in defiance as lightning strikes the
dome (this is Sauron of course) of the temple of Melkor/Morgoth.
"
Some submission drafts have been received for the front cover, but so far no one has submitted any finished works.
As an added incentive to encourage submissions, the one who's
artwork is used for the front cover, may receive a special actual
printed and bound version of the module in thanks for their hard work.
Of course full attribution will be listed for all artwork, please
post with your submission how you want the information listed. Include
your email address, name as desired to be posted, and if you wish a url
to your website if you wish.
This module when finally released will be freely available as a PDF to one and all.
So send your submission today please!
Some submissions received.
Meanwhile we still need a lot more artwork for the interior.
